2017 Parade

The parade and observances will be rain or shine. We are aware of the impending weather forecast and plan to honor those that have served. Individual units may determine if they are going to cancel their own participation. Please contact us with questions.

The 2017 Parade will be Monday May 29, 2016.

Day Plan:
The activities of the day begin at 8:30am with the Topsham Observance on the plaza between Town Hall and Public Safety.  The Parade begins immediately following the Topsham Observance and proceeds down Main St, Topsham across the Frank J Woods Bridge, where it pauses for a wreath laying.  It then proceeds up Maine St in Brunswick to the Gazebo on the Brunswick Mall for a Memorial Observance.
We welcome the public in attending these Observances.

7:00 – Units start forming on Monument Place

8:00 – Route 201 & Main St will close to traffic

8:15 – Units start to line up on Monument Place.

8:45 – Observance begins at Monument Place (Details Follow)

9:00 – Antique cars leave and Parade starts to Brunswick.

~ 9:30 – Observance on the bridge (Details Follow)

~9:45 – Decorated Bikes enter parade

~11:00 – Parade ends/ Brunswick Observance begins.


Please remember that:
-The parade is RAIN OR SHINE!
-Bring a cellphone
-Bring sunscreen or bug spray
-Bring a waterbottle.
-The throwing of candy is prohibited.
